Every Friday the website www.photofriday.com puts out a new prompt for pro and amateur photographers to submit a photo that best encompasses that given weeks challenge word. This week it was “blurred” and even though I have a ton of photos in my catalog that I love with blur I decided to shoot something new.
The field behind my parents house has really tall bright green grass and yellow and blue flowers and we had wanted to shoot there for awhile. We shot a ton of photos but I ended up liking this style the most.
To get the effect what I did was hold the camera above my head and shot down then while pressing the shutter down I spun the camera to get the blur. To freeze the action on the model I used an on-camera flash that fired on the second shutter. The camera was set at ISO 250 at f/8 and 1/60. The flash was kicked up to +1.
In photoshopped I processed the RAW image by adding blacks, boosting saturation, and increasing the clarity. Lastly, I cloned out some stray hairs and little details. I’m super happy with how the final product turned out.
P.S. The model is my beautiful girlfriend Sarah.
Why is Sarah always so dizziyngly beautiful?
